Will Douglas

Manager, Community Impact, Tenderloin Health Improvement Partnership

Neighborhood Story Teller

With the Foundation since:

2016

My role at the Foundation:

I work with partners and grantees to identify and support community-based solutions to address the social determinants of health. I help build our collective understanding of what is working to improve health and well-being in the Tenderloin and strive to tell that story.

What I love about my job/what motivates me:

TLHIP is a unique approach to health improvement. It requires collaboration and alignment beyond any single person or organization. The size and scope of the social challenges we attempt to address is fascinating, and I enjoy working with our community to problem solve.

What I did before coming to the Saint Francis Foundation:

I worked with a team that developed web platforms to improve health needs assessments to facilitate community action. I have also worked in community engagement in the areas of emergency management and infrastructure.

Personal interests:

I enjoy my family and friends, exploring trails, listening to and playing music, and many other creative pursuits.
