Support Saint Francis Nurses

Foundation News & Updates

Throughout the pandemic, the sincere dedication of the nursing staff at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital has been awe-inspiring. Nurses have served on the front lines caring for the most vulnerable patients, and comforting those in their final hours without their loved ones. Nurses like Donnie — watch his touching story in the video below.
This video features Donnie Nelson, Nurse Manager of the Palliative Care Program at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and his incredible care of the Denbo Family during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now over a year into the pandemic, nurses are experiencing severe burnout and compassion fatigue. And so during 2021 Nurses Week, which begins May 6, the Saint Francis Foundation has pledged to show our gratitude to the Hospital’s caring nursing staff.

When you give today, your contribution will be matched by a Foundation grant up to $7,500. Your gift will support Nurses Week events designed to show our appreciation for their commitment to our fellow San Franciscans, who find themselves in need of care at the Hospital.
