New Board Voices for Community Health and Equity
Foundation News & Updates
We are pleased to share that Saint Francis Foundation has welcomed two new members to our Board of Directors Lauryn Agnew and Martha Delgado, whose experience in institutional investment and impact-focused stewardship will strengthen our work in the community.

Lauryn Agnew brings more than three decades of experience in institutional investment strategy, advising non-profit organizations on investment consulting, fiduciary education, and trustee training for boards and investment committees. She leads the Bay Area Impact Investing Initiative, where she designs model portfolios that align mission and impact with rigorous fiduciary standards, and is a frequent speaker and author on topics including place-based impact investing, affordable housing, and public–private partnerships that support resilient communities.
Lauryn has served as a trustee and twice Board Chair of the San Mateo County Employees’ Retirement Association, and has held investment leadership roles with organizations such as United Way of the Bay Area and Girl Scouts of Northern California. Her deep expertise at the intersection of impact, governance, and long-term asset stewardship will help guide the Foundation’s mission-driven grantmaking and investment strategy in service to our local community.
Martha Delgado is an institutional investment professional with 25 years of experience across equity research, global capital markets, portfolio management, and institutional strategy at leading asset managers. Her career has included roles at Northern Trust, Salomon Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley), State Street Global Advisors, Tortoise Ecofin, and Allspring Global Investments (formerly Wells Fargo Asset Management), where she spent 15 years leading institutional expansion across Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.

Martha currently serves on the Investment Committee of Marin Health and is a member of the International Women’s Forum and the Private Directors Association.
Born in Nicaragua and raised in Miami, Martha brings a global, multicultural perspective shaped by experience across markets, institutions, and communities, as well as deep expertise in institutional investing, investment oversight, and long-term stewardship. She earned her MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Economics and International Affairs. She is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco. Her experience and perspective align well with the Foundation’s mission and with its responsibility to steward its resources thoughtfully in service of the community.
Looking Ahead
As Saint Francis Foundation advances its mission to raise funds and make grants that support and enhance access to exceptional health care, wellness, and compassionate support for people and communities in San Francisco, the insight and leadership of Lauryn and Martha will be invaluable.
Their experience in impact-focused investing, governance, and long-term asset stewardship will help the Foundation invest in community health, wellness, and access to care for San Franciscans, with a particular focus on those facing the greatest barriers.
