‘Prepare for the worst and hope for the best’, SF Chronicle Goes Inside Saint Francis’ COVID-19 Unit

The unit is a collaboration through the Hospital Council of Northern California, a nonprofit trade group representing the city’s hospitals. It was funded with $1 million from UCSF and $1 million from the Saint Francis Foundation, which is raising another $500,000 it will match. Foundation President Mark Ryle said the organization was willing to give up to $5 million.
