Foundation Hosts Successful Wine Women & Shoes Inaugural Benefit

Foundation News & Updates

On Sunday, May 7, the Foundation held its inaugural celebration, Wine Women & Shoes at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco. More than 200 women and men from the Bay Area joined to raise their glasses and shop for fashion in support of the Tenderloin Health Improvement Partnership (TLHIP).

Wine Women & Shoes featured a fashion show, a marketplace offering selected accessories, fashion, jewelry and more; wine tasting from several of Napa and Sonoma’s wineries; and both a silent and live auction that took place during the afternoon tea.

Highlights included:

  • A beautiful fashion show with couture designs from Karen Caldwell Design and Vasily Vein. Designer Vein attended the event and helped in the auction of a custom made gown.
  • The Best in Shoe contest, won by attendee Maggie Shiels, was judged by local stylist Tiffany Wojciak.
  • The Key to the Closet raffle offered $7,500 in boutique merchandise and gift certificates. The winner of this wonderful prize was Dr. Sarita Satpathy.

We would also like to give special thanks to our event sponsors and host committee:
