Spotlight on 2019 Grant Awards
In the 2019 fiscal year grant cycle, the Saint Francis Foundation awarded nearly 100 grants in the amount of $3.4M. The Foundation provides grants to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital to fund capital renovations, equipment and technology, patient care and amenities, staff training and education, and awards grants to community partners who focus on population health and prevention. A Gift to Honor a Hero
Jay Lawton was prepared to make a gift to the Saint Francis Foundation as a grateful patient of Dr. Andrew Barnett for his experience at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, but was unsure where to direct his gift to make an impact. When Dr. Barnett suggested the Bothin Burn Center, the 16-bed intensive care burn unit at Saint Francis and the largest burn unit in Northern California, Jay was elated by the suggestion and its connection to the memory of his father. Read the story.

You’re Invited! Wine Women & Shoes Tickets Now On Sale
Be there, Be Fabulous! The Saint Francis Foundation will hold its third annual Wine, Women & Shoes benefit on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. This annual celebration brings women together around fine wine, superb style, and a great cause! This year’s event will benefit Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and the work of the Bothin Burn Center, the largest burn unit in Northern California serving more than 3,000 patients annually. Join us and get Early Bird ticket prices today through September 6. 

Congratulations to 2019 TLHIP Scholarship Award Winners
Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 TLHIP Scholarship Awards for their work advancing health in the Tenderloin and demonstrated commitment to community: Aaniyah Body (Code Tenderloin), Michael Blegen (Tenderloin Health Services – HealthRIGHT 360), Raymond Gonzales (Downtown Streets Team), and Charlie Nguyen (BGCSF). Celebrating and Honoring Jennifer Kiss
In July, colleagues and friends came together to recognize Jennifer Kiss for her six years of commitment to Tenderloin Health Improvement Partnership. Jennifer has given her heart and soul to the project and the testimonies from community partners in the room truly reflected her devotion and impact. She will be moving on to a new opportunity but she will remain deeply connected to the Tenderloin community. We are forever grateful to Jennifer for her service!
