Evidence suggests that adverse childhood experiences have significant negative impacts on long term health and well-being. TLHIP safety initiatives are preventative measures designed to help reduce the persistent traumatic stress that Tenderloin residents experience daily in their environment. On the flipside, supporting creative expression is one way TLHIP can help mitigate the impact of these traumatic experiences, encouraging children and youth to raise their voices and share their experiences and perspectives.
