4 Corner Friday Brings Neighbors Together
Community Resources & Reports

At 4:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, Tenderloin neighbors come out to greet each other and celebrate community. Brightly colored balloons and blue 4 Corner Friday shirts can be seen along the streets stretching north from Golden Gate Avenue. Whether it’s getting to know each other over hot chocolate and popcorn or playing games and painting murals as a community, these get-togethers help residents break down preconceptions, foster a sense of inclusion, and promote healthy, positive activities.
"It's not post-traumatic stress; it's persistent traumatic stress." The residents of a long overlooked neighborhood are finally getting some much needed attention.
