The Tenderloin is Getting Healthier and it Started with Boeddeker Park

The following elements, in addition to high quality amenities, have proven necessary to sustain positive park experiences in challenged neighborhoods like the Tenderloin: a clean, safe and active environment, positive engagement with dedicated staff, diverse programming options, and stable oversight and leadership. As a result, Boeddeker Park has attracted over 70,000 park visits since it reopened in August 2016, with 95% of visitors reporting feeling safe in the park.
