Director of Finance and Operations (DFO)

The mission of the Saint Francis Foundation is to raise funds and make grants that support and enhance the ability of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital to deliver exceptional health care services and compassionate care to its patients and to the communities the Hospital serves. We are a small team of highly collaborative individuals that are experienced and passionate non-profit professionals, managing assets more than $100 million, with an annual budget of $3 million.

The foundation has an immediate need for a Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) to join our team. This position works closely with the President, ensuring that all finance, accounting, reporting, Human Resources and other operations run smoothly and effectively. This is a highly visible role working directly with the Board, Board committees and the community, so demands a deep understanding of all of the foundation’s activities. The DFO is supported by outsourced accounting, IT and HR partners and is responsible for strategic budgeting, cash flow management, human resources, supporting fundraising, foundation programs and grant-making.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of financial expertise, leadership, management and the highest ethical standards. We seek applicants with a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, 8 to 10 years of related work experience in finance, accounting and operations, preferably in a foundation setting. Master’s degree and CPA license are desired.
